Executive Director’s Greeting

    Home / Executive Director’s Greeting

george anersonABCCAA has much of which to be proud and we will continue the mission to collaborate with community partners by empowering families in the counties we serve to achieve self-sufficiency through education, employment and advocacy. We are grateful to all of our funding sources and contributors who support our vision to make our work successes possible.

As Community Action changes with the implementation of new performance standards, reduced funding, and other programmatic changes, ABCCAA will utilize its strategic planning process to enhance the type and quality of services that we provide to our customers. We are dedicated to maximizing resources and coordinating efforts with community partners to embrace people by equipping them with the tools they need to change their lives.

As our economy continues to improve, we recognize there are significant challenges still facing many of the families we serve. Additionally, as local, state and Federal funding decrease, ABCCAA accepts the challenge to continue the “War on Poverty” by seeking additional opportunities to deliver customer-focused services that have a greater impact on the families and communities served.

I thank you for your continued support.

George A. Anderson
Executive Director
